You may all remember the beautiful yet heartbreaking love story of Shamsuddin Chacha and his wife. Their love is profound, but it has always been accompanied by hardship and struggle.

In his old age, it became increasingly difficult for Shamsuddin Chacha to walk mile after mile with a load of toys strapped to his back. Despite his relentless efforts, the little money he earned was barely enough to cover his wife’s cancer treatment. After exhausting days spent securing food and medicine, they would return to their one-room home.

By the grace of God, I was able to gift him a van along with hundreds of pairs of sandals, allowing him to start a sandal-selling business. Now, he sells sandals near his slum, with the help of his nephew. With this newfound opportunity, he earns around 300–500 taka daily, bringing stability to their lives.
Receiving this rickshaw van and the business has filled their hearts with happiness. Shamsuddin Chacha, overwhelmed with gratitude, said, “I cannot thank you enough for helping us. Today feels like Eid for us.”
Please keep them in your prayers. Be a lamp, a lifeboat, or a ladder. Help heal someone’s soul.
